Kathe Kouti Metrai, our dedicated Greek initiative, partnered with Vergina BeerF to travel all the way to Nestorio, Kastoria. Their mission? To ensure not a single empty can was left behind while attendees enjoyed the 43rd River Party, the iconic camping festival in the country. Equipped with their signature backpacks and striking installation spelling out #RIVER, the Every Can Counts recycling ambassadors managed to collect an impressive 11,500 cans, equivalent to 154 kilograms of aluminium.

Throughout the festival, accessible recycling stations dotted the venue, and our ambassadors were on hand to assist with on-the-go recycling. Whether near the riverbank, on the stage area, or in the campsite, they ensured every empty can found its way into the recycling stream. At the same time, they educated festival-goers on the environmental impact of their actions.

By recycling their drink cans, they not only help conserve precious resources like energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also support the Kastoria Fire Department in acquiring much-needed equipment.

Working together can save resources and energy, paving the way for a healthier planet. At Every Can Counts, we take pride in our role as a front-runner in promoting recycling through creative and enjoyable methods. The River Party Nestorio provides a fitting platform for us to make a meaningful impact and educate festival-goers about the importance of drink can recycling. Our Greek team has been collaborating with this organization for four consecutive years, consistently aiming to raise awareness among young people about the importance of drink can recycling and the positive impact their actions can have on the environment.
