For this year’s World Environment Day, our Romanian chapter delivered a multi-layered campaign that successfully combined data, public dialogue, and creative experiences, reaffirming its role as a driving force in Romania’s recycling conversation.
At the heart of the activation stood a comprehensive press release presenting a fresh analysis of Romania’s aluminium can recycling rates, accompanied by a detailed map highlighting the country’s top-performing regions. The release was widely covered by national media outlets, including Libertatea.ro and numerous others, amplifying public awareness and fueling national debate. The study’s relevance was further confirmed when the Minister of Environment, Mircea Fechet, publicly referenced it, which is an important signal of the growing policy focus on circular economy solutions.

Beyond the press, Every Can Counts Romania was also invited to participate in the TV programme Global, which aired on TVR Info and TVR International. Our team discussed can recycling and the programme’s mission in an extensive, dedicated segment lasting over 25 minutes, significantly broadening the campaign’s public exposure.
On the consumer side, the creative pillar of the campaign came to life through two art installations developed under the “I CAN” umbrella concept. Presented across three major events — World of Digital Fest, Neo Art Connect, and SIP & ART — the installations engaged diverse audiences, transforming sustainability into a highly visual and interactive experience.
Altogether, the Environment Day campaign extended Every Can Counts Romania’s impact across media, public institutions and everyday citizens, proving once again that data, dialogue and creative engagement remain powerful levers in the journey towards 100% can recycling.
