Chaque Canette Compte and Citeo have entered an agreement with Amaury Sport Organization (ASO) for a more sustainable Tour de France. Our programme in France will be responsible for the complete management of recycling on the four Fan Parks of the Tour (Brest, Laval, Albertville, and Libourne).
Following the programme’s efforts to raise awareness in tens of thousands of spectators about the infinite recyclability of aluminium for the last seven editions, this expanded collaboration is a first for Chaque Canette Compte. With the support of Citeo, a dedicated CCC team will be present in all Fan Parks for the implementation, from A to Z, of sorting and collecting waste in order to ensure an effective recycling process that will also be an example for the general public.
The CCC live collection team’s goal is simple: to collect and sort 100% of the drink cans consumed in Fan Parks, as well as all other packaging. At the same time, their aim is also to educate thousands of visitors about the recyclability of aluminium drink cans and the importance of putting their empties in the right bin. To successfully meet this challenge, dozens of collection points will be positioned at strategic locations in Fan Parks, but above all, the live collection CCC team will constantly roam the area with its identifiable equipment (collection baskets), making them impossible to miss!
During these nine days, the teams will do their best to raise awareness about recycling, collect, correct any sorting errors if necessary, and count the cans and packaging consumed. The collection will then be handled by the relevant city services, heading to the nearest recycling center!
